Materials

ALPAVIA by VEYARN
50% baby alpaca, 50% polyamide
180 m / 100 g

Work with a single strand. Approximate yarn usage: 80 g. We recommend purchasing 100 g to allow for your swatch.

You may substitute another yarn that achieves the required gauge. Substitution guidance is included in the pattern.

Tools

• 5 mm circular needles for the ribbing.
• 6 mm circular needles for the body and crown.
• Four decrease markers and a distinct beginning-of-round marker.
• Tapestry needle, scissors and measuring tape.
• Optional soft brush for brushing the finished hat.

Gauge

15 stitches × 22 rounds = 10 × 10 cm

Stockinette stitch using 6 mm needles, measured after washing and drying completely. Adjust your needle size as needed to achieve gauge.

Skill Level

Easy. The pattern uses knit and purl stitches and simple decreases. Detailed explanations and video tutorials guide you through the key techniques.
